Lissa Pohl

Lissa Pohl is a global expert in somatic intelligence and its connection to leadership and engagement. Her work embraces several transformational learning modalities including Equine-Assisted Learning (EAL), Lights-On Leadership™ Coaching, The Leadership Circle Profile, and The Art of Alignment™  to provide her clients the heightened perceptual awareness and feedback they need to fully engage, align, and lead their organizations.

Lissa holds a master’s degree in Transformational Leadership Development from the Union Institute and University. She is a Master Trainer for the Equine Experiential Education Association (E3A), an international non-profit organization that certifies people to facilitate Equine-Assisted Learning for corporate clients.

From 2008 through 2020 Lissa worked at the University of Kentucky in the Department of Community & Leadership Development where she taught leadership development as well as conducted pioneering research into the effectiveness of Equine Guided Leadership Education to increase emotional intelligence in healthcare professionals. Lissa is co-author on a published article titled: Optimal Terminology for Services in the United States That Incorporate Horses to Benefit People: A Consensus Document , as well as a chapter in the bestselling book Transforming Your Life: 22 Incredible Stories Showing the Strength of the Human Spirit (Volume 2).

Lissa has presented on the topics of embodying leadership, somatic intelligence, followership and Equine-Assisted Learning (EAL) at leadership conferences worldwide.
